About

Urban Environment News features the latest environment, sustainability and natural resource management news for cities and towns across Australia and internationally.

It has more than 3000 subscribers and followers who receive regular updates about new initiatives, publications, research, events and more.

Urban Environment News was first established as the Australian Urban NRM Network in 2004 with the support and assistance of the former Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Management Authority, which had responsibility for the coordination of natural resource management activities in Australia’s largest city.

In 2008, the Australian Urban NRM Network became Urban NRM News, and then in 2010 Urban Environment News. On 30 May 2014 Urban Environment News celebrated 10 years of operation.

Urban Environment News was initiated and continues to be edited by Bruce Boyes.
