Botanic Gardens Trust (Sydney) Urban Biodiversity Forum 19 November 2010
An Urban Biodiversity Forum is being held at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney on Friday 19 November 2009. For further information including cost and contact details for bookings see the Biodiversity Forum program.
Presentations will cover a range of initiatives:
- WildThings – Australia’s first local government translocation program
- GreenWay Sustainability Project – working towards the vision of providing a recognisable environmental, cultural and non-polluting transport corridor linking two of Sydney’s most important waterways
- Arboriculture & Wildlife Management, RBG Sydney – Participants will be taken out into the Gardens to observe and discuss the management of the historic living collection in terms of urban biodiversity issues such as flying foxes and other fauna, including human impact
- Housing NSW Green Street Program – improve the environment around many social housing communities
