The COSMOS magazine online article Ozone treaty turns 25, hailed for preventing disaster discusses how the United Nations Montreal Protocol to protect the ozone layer signed 25 years ago prevented an environmental disaster, but while ozone depletion has levelled off it will still take a very long time for the ozone layer to recover.
