Urban Environment News celebrates ten years
Ten years ago today, on 30 May 2004, Urban Environment News began life as the Australian Urban NRM Network with the support of the former Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Management Authority. The Australian Urban NRM Network was established in recognition of the need to provide an environmental information service that was directly relevant to urban areas, with Australia having one of the most urbanised populations in the world. In 2008, the Australian Urban NRM Network became Urban NRM News, and then in 2010, Urban NRM News became Urban Environment News. Urban Environment News now has over 2,500 subscribers and followers, and since 2004 has published more than 1,400 news items and messages and sent more than 2,800 tweets. Thank you to everyone for your great support!
