Developing a sustainable future for Brisbane – Green Star Communities
Brisbane City Council is partnering with Green Building Council of Australia on Green Star Communities. Green Star Communities aims to develop a framework and a tool that assists in the assessment of communities against best practice sustainable benchmarks.
The framework is a decision making process which focuses on incorporating economic, social ands environmental sustainability elements into development precincts. The tool will be a system which will measure the metrics of a sustainable development and may provide a rating as to how sustainable a community is.
