National Water Initiative – 10 years of water wins

Signed in 2004, the National Water Initiative (NWI) is an intergovernmental agreement between the Australian, state and territory governments. It aims to improve the management of the nation’s water resources and provide greater certainty for future investment. The National Water Commission (NWC) reviews the achievements of the NWI in the publication 10 years of water wins, which can be read online or downloaded as an interactive PDF. The NWC will be closed at the end of 2014 as part of Australian Government budget savings measures.
